In
the spring of this year, the need for enhanced visibility and impact urged
eleven University Presses to band together to develop shared promotion
initiatives. Exploiting their different skills and the specific cultural,
productive and administrative strengths of each member, the group set
itself the target of circulating quality publications linked to the results
of Italian scholarly research within the Italian and international academic
circuits. This synthesis of editorial production is the first initiative
through which the Italian University Presses are approaching the market:
a selection linked to the institutional mission, but also featuring interests
in other sectors, in advance of the electronic catalogue being prepared
for the start of next year.
